I was working on a full, detailed post of the current status of me and baby and then I decided to just give you the Twitter version. I've been updating my tweeps fairly regularly...
July 1, 2012:
4:23am... Another effing bleed! #sch #27w1d 20 mins in & I finally felt baby move! Waiting to c if the bleed stays heavy before deciding to go to L&D.
6:09am... Checked in at L&D. Being monitored for 30 mins before seeing the dr (my dr is on call, woot woot!) Def contracting tho.
6:35am... Contracting every 2.5-3mins. Going to get a terbutaline shot (ugh!) and an u/s to make sure I'm not dilating.
7:11am... Got my terb. Cx quieted. U/S showed my cervix has shortened significantly. Being admitted for preterm labor. Not sure how long I'll be here.
7:31am... Still having cx. Going to start me on mag sulfate. Glad dh is off for the next 8 days.
* Received my first, of two, steroid shots to help mature baby's lungs should I deliver. Also, spoke to the neonatologist about premature babies and their obstacles. Definitely in denial that baby could be here any time soon.
July 2, 2012:
7:51am... Reduced my mag twice since yest. Far fewer cx. Second steroid shot in an hour, then 24 more hrs of mag.
8:16am... Dh and the baby called me this morning. G is doing just fine w/o momma. He kissed the phone (me) repeatedly. Made me cry!
* Received second steroid shot.
July 3, 2012:
1:47am... Cx picked up again. Not good. Raising my mag dose.
8:02am... Less than an hour until we stop the mag!!!!!!!
10:07am... Off the mag, going to start an oral med (nyfetapine) to calm the ute and then we just wait. My peri is going to come and do another u/s and check cervix.
5:30pm... Met with my peri. Cervix hasn't shortened anymore but I'm still a ticking time bomb. Told to plan to be in the hosp until 32wks. #27w3d
5:48pm... Thanks for the <3 ladies. I'm happy 2 be under their watchful eye instead of worrying from home. Counting on all of u 2 keep me entertained.
5:49pm... Really trying not to think about being away from G for so long. Grateful for family that is helping out & <3s him like I do!
* Removed catheter when they stopped the mag. Praise God!

8:03am... Was moved out of L&D last night to the ante partum unit across the hall. MUCH more comfortable bed and I get a shower today! Woot woot!!!
1:05pm... Dh brought G to see me. Bad idea, just made it all worse. He looks so big. I hope he still remembers me when I get home =( Hurts my heart.
7:42pm... Alright, I'm done. I'm ready to go home now. I miss my husband and my baby :'(
July 5, 2012:
8:10am... Cx picked up and I started bleeding again. Got another dose of terb. Dr didn't seem too terribly concerned since this is "normal" for me.
11:43pm... Apparently I was contracting too much while I slept. Nurse came in with another shot of terb. #cruelwakeup
* Was swabbed to ensure I wasn't leaking amniotic fluid (I'm not!!!)
July 6, 2012:
7:39am... Terb seemed to help last night. Upped the meds I take daily to calm cx. 2 every 6hrs instead of 1 every 4hrs. Baby's still doing great tho!
10:56am... Umm, so my masseuse just left!!! She usually comes every Wed and does a 20ish minute head/neck/shoulder or feet/leg massage...FOR FREE!!!
1:36pm... Just got a visit from DH and G!!! He snuggled with me and we watched cartoons ::heart melts::
1:37pm... Less cx, shower, clean sheets, massage and a visit from my two favorite boys!!! #good day :-D
* My perinatologist stopped by to see how I'm doing. She said every day I'm here without having a baby is a victory in her book. For all the bad stuff (bleeding, contractions...) things are stable and baby is doing great...but I'm a ticking time bomb! I'm not IN labor but I'm at high risk for preterm labor...which is why I'm in the hospital.
July 7, 2012:
7:25am... 28 weeks pregnant today!!! Celebrating every day baby boy is still baking away! #keepcookingbaby
* Contractions picked up again in the very early morning. In hopes to avoid another shot of terbutaline (unless absolutely necessary,) nurse agrees to wake me when I'm having too many cx so I can potty, change positions and chug water. They gave me my nyfetapine two hours early to calm things down and it does the job.
So here we are...I got my second dose of nyfet this morning about an hour and a half ago. I'm contracting about six times an hour which they are okay with. I'll be in the hospital indefinitely. I've learned that that really means at least 32 weeks but we're just taking it day by day. Good news is, I'm where I need to be. This is best for baby...and my sanity. I haaaaaaaaaate being away from G but he seems to be doing well. The hubs and grandma are taking great care of him and I'm sure he's being spoiled rotten...as he should be.
Are you following me on Twitter??? @InfertileMomma You should be...I'm super cool and the girls on there are equally as cool...AND, I need constant entertainment these days so you should be on Twitter keeping me sane.
